Youth Help Hurricane Florence Victims
Under the direction of youth director, Fr. John Segvich, the youth assembled hygiene kits for the
Hurricane Florence victims.
Parishioners donated items which will be distributed by the IOCC. These items consisted of hand towels,
wash cloths, soap, nail clippers, combs, toothbrushes and band aids.
Garden Center Visit For September
This month Fr. John presided over the service at the Garden Center. Here he reads the story of “The Good Samaritan.”

Church School Begins With A Blessing
This Sunday Liturgy was held in the fellowship hall due to the ongoing church remodel.

Following the Liturgy Fr. Paul said a prayer for the children.
Fr. Paul asked the children to bring their school back packs to the service.
He blessed the children and their back packs with Holy Water.
He also gave each child an icon pin to attach to their back pack.

Church Remodel Begins
The remodeling of the church proper began with the removal of the old popcorn ceiling. Re-plastering was
done as needed to be followed by a coat of paint.
