Name: Archpriest Andrew Harrison
Priest Emeritus/Spiritual Leader

While living in California, I was working as a chaplain with the Veterans Hospital and was Priest-in-charge of a small mission in Oxnard. Because of the 1992 earthquake I lost my position at the Hospital. This event caused a crisis in my priesthood. I needed direction. I believe that God called me to St. Luke as an answer to our mutual prayers. It has been a blessing for me to be the rector of a parish that has commitment to evangelism. St. Luke parish can relate to the stewards in the parable of the talents. It is our God given responsibility not to bury what God has given us but to use it for the building up of His Church. Everyday let us take a step of faith by trusting in God’s promise in Mark 4:8: “He who sows bountifully will reap bountifully.” I invite you to take the daily step of faith and enjoy the blessings the Lord has so richly prepared for you.
