Friday October 30th, 2009 - Prayer of the Week on Luke 16: 19-31

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy

O Lord, it is Your will that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. You sent Your Son so none will perish. You send us opportunities to help the poor, sick and needy. This is a manifestion of Your Love for us. It is we who by not responding send ourselves into the lake of fire. Open our spiritual eyes so we respond and find You in those who need our love. We pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit Amen.

Friday October 23rd, 2009 - Prayer of the Week on the feast of St. Luke

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy

O Lord You promised to send Your Holy Spirit to guide us to all truth. Your Holy Apostle Jude exhorted us to keep the faith that was delivered to us by the apostles. On this day as we celebrate the memory of St. Luke the Apostle, strengthen our faith so we can avoid immoral acts. Purify our lives so we do not grieve the Holy Spirit in whom we pray. Through the prayers of St. Luke, O Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us. Amen

Wednesday October 14th, 2009 - Prayer of the Week on James 5:15

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy

O Lord we are grieving the loss of one of our dear members. We read in Your holy Gospel how your brought back to life the son of the widow. This reveals to us that You have power over life and death. You will raise us up to eternal life . Help us, O Lord, to be righteous so our prayers will save the sick and they will raise on the last day. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit Amen.
