Tuesday October 25th, 2005 - Prayer of the Week on Luke 19:19-31

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy

O Lord Your parable is a warning to us not to be greedy like the rich man. You do not want us to be thrown into the lake of fire where there is gnashing of teeth and great thirst. Around us we see many poor and suffering, especially those who lost everything in the earthquakes, hurricanes and floods. Give us the spirit of generosity to help those in such need. May we support the ministry of Your Church so we, like Lazarus will be received into Abraham's bosom. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit Amen.

Tuesday October 4th, 2005 - Prayer of the Week on on Luke 6: 31-36

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy

O Lord You have legions of Angels who protect You and fight for You. Instead of calling upon them You choose to make yourself an example of true love. You let Yourself be Crucified by evil people who did not know what they were doing. Your forgave them with Your words. May we take Your example to heart and love those who wrong us with a love so strong that we can pray for them and even do good things for them. We want to always be Your children and receive the great reward You have prepared for us in Your Kingdom. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit Amen.
