Friday, May21st 2004 - Prayer of the Week on on the healing of the Blind man - John 9: 1-38

This prayer and Bible study is sent out each week. You are invited to participate by answering the Bible question below.

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy!

O Lord we pray that our spiritual eyes will always remain open so we may perceive Your presence among us. You promised You would be with us until the end of the age. We pray for the spiritual and physical healing of those who are blinded by sin. As the Blind Man came to know You may they also see and believe. We ask for Your help in our defense of the faith even at the risk of being persecuted. You call those blessed when false evil is directed against them. May we be among those who receive a great reward in heaven. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Bible question - If you could have any of the powers of Jesus to do good which one would you choose?

Friday, May14th 2004 - Prayer of the Week on John 4: 5-42

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy!

O Lord You offered living water to the Samaritan Women and she heard Your word and accepted the living water. By repenting of her sin of adultery and the proclamation about You to her people, she became a saint. We pray that we can be like her and accept Your living water. We have also broken the seventh commandment by our lustful thoughts and actions. Help us to mortify our flesh and develop self discipline. Give us the faith of St.Photina so that we can evangelize our people. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
