Wed, April 24th, 2002 Prayer of the week on Mark 10: 32-45.

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord You were betrayed, mocked, spit upon, flogged and condemned to death for our salvation. We pray that You will make us worthy to walk with You as we relive your passion. May it be for us a life transforming experience so that we can become great by being servants to all. For You came to serve not to be served and give Your life as a ransom for many. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy spirit Amen.

Just returned from a wonderful visit to the Greece and Turkey following the footsteps of St. Paul. There will be a slide program under pilgrimages on our website in few days. I will be organizing a trip next year I hope you can go. Your questions and comments are welcome.

Monday, April 8th, 2002 Prayer of the Week on Mark 8: 34-9:1 (Sunday of the Cross).

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

Lord we desire to follow You but we fear taking up Your cross. Your words about losing our life for the sake of the gospel are difficult to fathom. Help us to over come our fear and have the faith that in sacrificing we will gain life. We do not want to gain the world of Satan and his ways by loosing our souls. May we be among those who will not taste death until we see Your kingdom coming in power. We pray to You through the power of Your life-giving cross, Father Son and Holy Spirit Amen.

Monday, April 1st, 2002 Prayer of the Week for the Sunday of St. Gregory.

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord You are above pure energy for out of it you created the universe with all its galaxies and stars. You appeared to Moses speaking through a burning bush. You guided the Israelites with a pillar of fire. Your divine light was seen on Mt. Tabor when You were transfigured. Your light has been experienced by those who practice pure prayer. We ask You, with impure prayers, to direct our lives toward Your holy mountain so that we, through the Hesycast can experience Your divine light. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit Amen.
