Lay Delegate

Lay Delegate, Roslyn Stevens. Name: Rosyln Stevens
Job: Lay Delegate
Email: roslynstevens@lycos.com

As a cradle lay member of the Orthodox Church, I am honored to represent St Luke as its All American Council Delegate. The stated mission of the Council is to allow OCA representatives from all disciplines, including legislative and administrative authorities, the Holy Synod of Hierarchs, the Clergy, monastics, and theology academics, as well as lay delegates from every parish, to meet as one to discern God's Will, to work together for His Church, to worship as one, and to discuss and take action on issues that will bring His Church forward, fulfilling His Will into the new century.

I will approach this significant responsibility with humility and dedication to serve and represent the St. Luke community to the best of my abilities. I look forward to attending all relevant sessions at the Council, scheduled for July 2002, by participating avidly in those meetings with the Lord's leading, and vigilantly reporting back to my fellow parishioners at St. Luke on all aspects of this important annual conclave.

Job Description

Represents the Parish at all required Diocesan and National Church meetings and reports to the Parish and Council the results of these meetings. Heads a committee of additional appointed delegates and observers. Supervises a reclaiming ministry of members in danger of becoming inactive.
