Wednesday April 25th, 2007 - Prayer of the Week on Mark 16: 9-20
Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.O Lord there is so much violence around us today and so much evil and
murder. Your life and death was no different to what see today. You warned us that we
too will be confronted with evil but You said "be of good cheer for I have overcome
the world." Today we pray for those who died at Virginia Tech and for their grieving
families. May their deaths be a reminder of how precious and fragile life is. We should
daily prepare ourselves to meet You but we do fail. Grant us the faith of the
Myrrh-bearing women to always be ready and show our love for You by the we care give for
Your body; the Church. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
Monday April 16th, 2007 - Prayer of the Week St. Thomas Sunday John 20:19-31
Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.O Lord You appeared to Your Apostles through closed doors. You turned
their sorrow into joy. You converted Thomas by revealing Your risen body and inviting him
to touch it to see that it was real. He believed because he had seen You. Grant us the
spiritual eyes of Thomas so we to may believe and be called blessed. May we follow Thomas
as missionaries to a skeptical world. We pray in the name of the Father Son and Holy
Spirit Amen.
