Saturday November 26th, 2005 - Prayer of the Week on Stewardship Luke 12: 16 -21
Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
O MASTER, Lord our God, who directed that everyone offer to You, "Your
own of Your own on behalf of all and for all", and who repays us with everlasting gifts;
who graciously accepted the offering made by the widow according to her means: Accept now
these pledges made by the Stewards of St. Luke and place them among Your eternal
treasures; grant to them also earthy success and may they acquire wealth so they may be
generous and share with those who are in need. For blessed is your Name, and glorified is
Your kingdom, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and
unto ages of ages. Amen.
Wednesday November 16th, 2005 - Prayer of the Week on Stewardship
Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
O Lord You do not expect from us anything You did not do Yourself. You
freely gave Your life by preaching and teaching . You healed the sick and cured the blind
and crippled with Your time and talent. You offered these gifts to Your apostles if they
would only have faith. Your final gift was the gift of eternal life which You give to
us if we believe. May we accept this gift and share it with others for we know that every
good gift is from You the Father of Lights and to You we give glory honor and worship.
We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit Amen.
Sunday November 6th, 2005 - Prayer of the Week on Luke 8: 40 -56
Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
O Lord you healed the bleeding woman. You told her that it was her
faith that healed her. You told Jairus if he believed, his daughter would also be healed.
You said that if we have the faith of a mustard seed we could move mountains. You gave the
power of healing to the Apostles and through them to us. May we have faith so we can bring
healing to those suffering in this fallen world. We pray in the name of the Father, Son
and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Tuesday November 1st, 2005 - Prayer of the Week on Luke 8:26-39
Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
O Lord You have the power over Satan and his temptation. You showed
him that self preservation, wealth and power did not sway You from your mission to save
us. Through Your death and resurrection You have given us the ability to conquer Satan
and overcome his demonic influences. We still suffer from the effects of sin but know
that all sickness and death will pass away when You return and send Satan and all his
angels to the eternal abyss. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Amen
