Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
Your birth O Lord revealed Your wisdom to the world. The Shepherds and
Magi came to You in faith. You enlightened them and they came to know You. May we also be
enlightened like them and know You and proclaim that Your are the Son of Righteousness
who will come again and save us. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. Amen

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
O God our Father You so loved this world to send Your only begotten Son
to save us. You humbled Yourself and became a child laying in a manger of hay. We pray
that You will help us to understand this mystery so we may believe that You are truly the
way, the truth and the life. You opened the door for us leading to the warmth and
protection of Your eternal abode. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Amen.

O Lord you have invited all to come to your banquet, but many make
excuses. Grant that we accept your invitation so that we can fill Your house. Protect us
from making excuses because of the sins of vanity and greed and may we always fulfill the
promises we make to You for we know we will be held accountable. Through the prayers of
St. Nicholas, O Lord, have mercy on us and save us for unto You we give glory and honor
and worship to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Wednesday December 7th, 2005 - Prayer of the Week on Eph 2:19-20
Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
O Lord it was through Your work on the Cross the we receive salvation.
You suffered and died so we could live. Now it our time to take up our cross and follow
You. We pray O Lord if the church, which is Your body, calls us to ministry we will accept
this call with gratitude and zeal. May we work not for selfish reasons or personal
gain but only for your glory so our works will be living works which will lead to our
salvation and to the glory of Your name. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. Amen.
