Wednesday, November 20th, 2002 - Prayer of the Week on Luke 12: 16-21

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

Lord You love the cheerful giver. You are able to make our gifts increase so that we will have all that is necessary to do good works. As we prayerful consider our tithe for next year, implant in us the knowledge that if we give sparingly we also will receive sparingly. Let our heart direct us so that we give out of love and expect nothing in return. For every good gift is from You our heavenly Father. We pray in Your Holy name: Father, Son and Holy spirit Amen.

Thursday, November 14th, 2002 - Prayer of the Week on Luke 10: 25-37

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord we are weak in our faith. We are like the priest and the Levite who would not risk helping the man beaten by robbers. We have passed by on the other side. We pray that You will open our hearts with compassion on the outcasts of our society and see them as our neighbors Open our pockets with joy to help the innkeeper Christ, to care for the sick. Grant us the faith to risk all for the glory of Your kingdom. we pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thursday, November 7th, 2002 - Prayer of the Week on a Children's Sermon About sharing

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord we thank You for all that You have given us. Help us to share with others so that we can make them happy. You promised Lord that if we do share we will receive even more so that we can share more. You warned us that if we are greedy and keep everything to ourselves we are in danger of loosing everything. We pray that we will become cheerful givers and rejoice in making others happy. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
