December 25th, Prayer of the week on the Sunday of the Ancestors of Christ

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord we see the list of Your ancestors who heard Your call. They were kings, farmers, shepherds and some even outcasts. You have adopted us as members of Your family. As we stand before Your holy Icon and celebrate your birth we see you laying in a manger where animals feed. You gave us Your body and blood as Holy Communion so that we could be born anew. We glorify Your birth and we give thanks in knowing that You are with us. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit Amen.

December 20th, Prayer of the week on Luke 14: 16- 24

Let us Pray to the Lord. Lord have Mercy.

O Lord You have prepared a heavenly banquet to show us that You are truly God incarnate in human flesh. You continually search for the poor, maimed, blind and outcasts to partake of Your dinner. We pray that we are among those who You call. Let us not make excuses like those who place earthly cares above You. May we be among Your servants who fill your house eat the bread of life in your kingdom. We pray in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
