Sacristan Report January 2004
Altar Servers:
The past year has seen an improvement in the attitudes of the altar
servers, however, in the areas of following church rubrics, conducting ones self in a
manner of respect for liturgical practices and following direction, there still remains
room for improvement. This year we are planning A and B teams which will solve the large
number of servers on the altar at one time. We had two altar boy meetings last year and
plan to have more this year. Being on time is a big issue and needs to be addressed with
the servers and their parents to get them to the Church when the service starts. We still
need new altar server vestments.
Sacristan:
The renovation has begun on the former kitchen area and hopefully it
will be complete this year. The Matins canon books are complete and being used for special
services. Fathers will need a way of getting heated water into the baptismal font and a
better way of draining it out.
Respectfully submitted
