Team Leader - George Evangelopoulos
It has been close to a year since being elected as the Property Team Leader and I have no idea as to where the time has gone. There hasn’t been much of a lag from where Mike Bauml left off and I picked up. This year saw multiple building upgrades and repairs. Some have been routine maintenance projects while others were necessary repairs to prevent serious structural damage to the exterior envelope of the building. We will be continuing into 2017 with some additional upgrades to the building and addressing any building code deficiencies.
We have put the building expansion on hold until further notice due to the unresolved issue of the Forest Preserve District and the leasing of the land adjacent to our parking lot. The requirement of a monetary contribution for the betterment of Forest Preserve lands and the lease payments made the solution to our parking lot issue elusive and financially irresponsible if we were to act on the proposed lease at this time.
The next cleanup day will be in the spring in preparation for Pascha. I invite everybody to come out and lend a helping hand to clean the building and the grounds. It is a very enriching experience as we take time out for something other than ourselves.
With the new Strategic Plan we will need to assess our needs and determine what we will do going forward with the existing property and whether or not additional options are available to us.
The fellowship hall is available for use by parish members. It can be reserved by contacting George Evangelopoulos and is subject to usage rules, feast days and the approval of Father Paul. Donations for the use of the hall are appropriate and should be at the discretion of the individual. These donations get deposited into the property fund, allowing us to further improve the property.

1. Refinish front door
2. Repair or replace exterior door at vestry

8. Sealed and painted bell tower interior
9. Installed keyed locksets to classroom hallways
10. Replaced vinyl floor tile as needed
11. Provided new core for bells
12. Repaired bell tower hatch door
13. Installed heater in bell tower
14. Install exhaust fan over candle stand
15. Installed new RO water filter for Kitchen
