Handmaiden Report January 2009

My job is to coordinate the jobs of the Handmaidens of the church.  This year we trained a few new girls as Handmaidens.  We have been following a written schedule as best as possible for the bread cutting and Holy Communion.  I have been trying (with some success) to get the children to be at the altar area before Father Andrew comes out at the end of the Liturgy.    I am hoping to have more girls show up before the Liturgy to help ring the bells this year but it really depends on the parents getting them there a little early.  We have not yet scheduled an end of the year outing. It has pretty much been an uneventful year.
