Annual Report January 2015

Submitted by Lee Kopulos

Diocesan of the Midwest Assembly - Cleveland, Ohio, October 6-8, 2014

Main purpose of the meeting was to elect a bishop to rule the Diocese of the Midwest. We elected Fr. Paul Gassios formerly founding priest of our Kokomo, Indiana Church under the Diocese of the Midwest. Fr. Paul is someone very familiar with the ways and means of the Diocese for the past 20 years.

Fr. Paul was then elevated to the distinction of Archimandrite and on December 26 and on the 27th he was consecrated Bishop of the Diocese of the Midwest. He resides here in Chicago at Christ the Savior Church on LaSalle Street.

There were no other matters of significance on the agenda except for election of persons to Diocesan Departments and some discussion of how to change the methodology of funding from the churches which will be a bigger item next time.

The next big national meeting will be the All American Conference in Atlanta, Ga. this summer.
