Cemetery Ministry Annual Report January 2015

Submitted by Maria Vrame

No sites were sold in 2014, however we purchased 2 lots (8 sites each) at $5600 each for a total expenditure of $11,200. When we deduct the surplus of $1,400 in 2013 we now are a -$9,800. Hopefully we will be able to sell more sites to recover some of this money. We now have a total of 41 available sites selling for $l,000 each for members of St. Luke and $1,200 for non-members.

This is a beautiful section of the cemetery surrounded by forest preserves, flat ground with an Orthodox cross (exactly like the one outside of our church), shadowing over the sites. It is the only Orthodox section in this cemetery and only a few miles away from St. Luke. Fr. Andrew blesses all the graves on Thomas Sunday in the spring and any time he officiates at a funeral there.
