Cemetery Ministry Annual Report January 2014

Submitted by Maria Vrame

This year we sold 8 sites, 6 @ $900 each to our parishioners and 2 @ $1,000 to non-parishioners, bringing in a total of $7,400 for the year. Our overall expenditures to date have been $47,000 and our income to date $48,400. As of today we know have a clear profit of $1,400. Also at this time we have available 25 lots still unsold. Six of the 25 are single lots and 19 are two or more together. (One of our parishioners paid for two lots and has two more on hold.) We would like to expand our section to include more sites. Father Andrew and I will look into the costs this coming year and see if it is feasible.

The funeral director at Hills Funeral Parlor has told me personally that Fairmont-Willow Hills Cemetery is the nicest cemetery in the area and has the most reasonable rates; the other cemeteries have skyrocketed in prices.
