Bell Ringers Annual Report January 2016
Prepared by Lynn Betsanes
I replaced a few more ropes that were frayed recently. I finally located the clamps needed to replace all of the ropes with a coated cable. I am still considering ways to have one person ring more bells at a time. I need some people to come and learn how to ring the bells with me. Then they can help me and/or do it in my absence. Some children and a few adults have joined in when I needed them. The rubrics book on bell ringing is always in the hall up there so someone can look up the type of service and follow the directions.
We rang for the Bishop in November and the other services such as feast days and funerals but the greatest joy was (and always is) ringing for Pascha. I am so grateful that Fr. Andrew trusted me with this ministry because I know that it is very important to him. I will always think of him when I hear Orthodox bells!
