Youth Organization (YO) Annual Report January 2009

Prepared by Lauren Dandeles

In April, YO held a baby shower to benefit PASS and raised more than $1000. In May, YO and other youth, including families, walked the PASS ‘Walk for Life’.

October brought the first meeting for the new school year. This year, the Jr. High kids were invited to join YO. This has significantly increased the size of the group, since most are regular attendees. The first YO event was held as a PADS night on November 24th. The kids helped the first shift serve food and made lunches for the ladies. Due to inclement weather our planned day of ice skating had to be canceled on behalf of our fingers and toes. However, the kids were so disappointed about not being able to go out after clearing their busy schedules plans were quickly changed into an impromptu trip to the movies. Following the movie the Evangelopoulos family generously offered their house for bonding time filled with pizza and Pictionary. Fun times were had by all. The next meeting will include making plans for going forward into the spring.

Plans for 2009:

· Due to the increased size of this group, chaperones and/or hosts for events would be appreciated.
