Women's Ministry Annual Report January 2016

Linda Kopulos and Michaelyn Sloan

St. Luke held a Women's Retreat on March 8, 2015 at the church. Randa Anderson, Orthodox Christian Counseling Institute, presented "Therapeutic Tools for Everyday Life." Twenty ladies attended and were provided with handouts related to the topic as well as participating in questions and answers with Randa. Lunch was provided. Feedback about the retreat was quite positive.

This year brings a different focus. We will offer this retreat to the entire parish (men and women) as well as other local Orthodox parishes. Dn. John Segvich and Dr. Angela Zekios will present on the topic of end of life care with an Orthodox Christian perspective on February 28, 2016. Dn. John will cover the theological aspect of this important stage of one's life and Dr. Zekios will share her experiences and thoughts about end of life care as a practicing physician. Plans are being finalized.
