September 11th Report Annual Meeting 2008

The purpose of the Patriot’s Day event on September 11th each year is to remember those people who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and to support the armed services that currently defend our country. (St. Luke Church is fortunate to have a piece of steel girder from the destroyed New York Trade Center in our narthex). The 2007 Patriot’s Day event featured military speaker, Ion Revak, son of recently-departed June Anderson. Attendance was good in the evening but sparse during the day. Plans are already in the works for the 2008 Patriot’s Day. Fr. Kevin Scherer, Executive Director of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF), will be the main speaker.
