Sanctity Of Life Report Annual Meeting January 2003

  1. Dec 2001/Jan 2002: Handpainted dresser and crib (by Andrea Dauro) along with stroller, mattress, high chair, and many other gifts were donated to PASS when their president and founder, Sue Davinger, visited. She shared their vision in a short presentation following liturgy.
  2. May 2002: Hike for Life
  3. June 2002: Diaper donations to PASS
  4. Oct. 2002: PASS LIfe Banquet St Lukes had 2 tables and 15 people attending Parish made a donation
  5. Nov 2002: Orthodox Christians for Life met at St Lukes
  6. Dec 2002: Gifts placed under the Christmas tree were donated to PASS for distribution. Carol Foster (Bob and Carol's daughter) donated dozens of handmade blankets, quilts, and booties. Her group, Linus for Life, encourages people to make blankets and quilts which she distributes to mothers in need.

PLANS for 2003

  1. Request budget of $800 dollars:

  3. PASS donation
  4. Purchase of unfinished crib, dresser, or rocker to be finished and donated
  5. Jan. 19 Sanctity of Life Seminar: PASS Impact will meet with adults in the church and junior and senior high students in the conference room following liturgy to discuss parenting and choices that students are faced with regarding abstinence.
  6. May Hike for Life
  7. June Diaper donation
  8. Summer Orthodox Christians for Life presentation/ Orthodoxy and Sanctity of Life

Tentative

  1. Oct. PASS Life Banquet
  2. Dec. Annual PASS giving tree
  3. Determine interest in beginning Linus for Life support at St. Lukes. Those interested would crochet, knit, or sew blankets, quilts, booties, etc. Carol Foster would place her insignia on the items and they would be distributed to unwed mothers.
