Safety Ministry Report Annual Meeting January 2009

The Safety Minister is in charge of setting up the security team that locks up the church on Sundays, maintaining the fire and security alarms, providing security for the collection money, handling liability issues, providing security for Pascha, dealing with problems with the sledders, maintaining the fire extinguishers, and any other safety issues. He is also in change of maintaining an accounting of the building and elevator keys.

During the past year, the fire extinguishers were checked, the elevator flower boxes were constructed to prevent children accidently falling down the shaft, and the landscaping wall was constructed to prevent young children from entering the street and cars from coming up onto the lawn. One problem that needs to be resolved is that the weekly security person is not always on hand to lock up the building.

Steve has dual duties as he is Lay Chairperson and has asked that someone take over this ministry. If you wish to help out please let me know.
