Prayer Ministry Annual Report January 2008

The year 2007 was filled with prayers being offered for others for many different reasons. Some prayers were answered joyfully and others with much sadness. But we will continue to pray together as we approach our tenth year as a prayer group. Just knowing prayers are being said is a source of great comfort. There are prayer cards available to send to those being prayed for. The names of those being prayed for are read at vespers and well as during the Divine Liturgy. A candle burns outside in front of the cross for all those prayed for. Lighting a candle reminds us that Jesus is “The light that shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5)
