Spring of 2007 marks the tenth year St. Luke has come together as a group to pray for others. It’s amazing when you think that thousands upon thousands of prayers have been said for so many people for so many different reasons. Hopefully this privilege has helped us individually to be more understanding of others; less centered on ourselves and has strengthened our own prayer life. After vespers on Saturdays we light a seven day candle and say intercessory prayers for the persons on the prayer list that week. Then the candle is then put outside in front of the cross. New packets of prayer cards were put in the narthex on the candle stand. They are clearly marked, Departed or Prayers for every Occasion. Just take a packet if you want prayers said for someone and follow the instructions. Let all of us work together to keep in communication with our Lord, He wants to hear from us.
