Outreach & Evangelism Report Annual Meeting January 2017

Prepared by Lee Kopulos, Chairperson

The Lionheart Program - The Pursuit of Christian Manhood

This is a high powered program for men to better understand their position in the church and with Christ. The program is four days long with a workbook and video communication specifically for Orthodox men. Dn. John and I, as Moderator, implemented this 4 part program beginning each Saturday at 9:00 with breakfast on Oct. 22. We asked 40 men to sign up for the program and 15 men came forward - a good response of about 40%. We had an excellent beginning the first 2 sessions but the attendance fell off dramatically in each of the last two sessions with only 6-7 participating. Unfortunately, these last two sessions are very important. My hope is that after the first of the year we can offer the last two sessions to those unable to attend. This program costs about $6-7 and we asked each participant to pay a fee of $15. Steve Hansen collected some of the money so far. There is a hope by Fr. Paul that this program would morph into a regular Men's program here at St. Luke's.

Orthodoxy & Evangelism - presented by Fr. Paul

On Tuesday, Dec. 13th, Fr. Paul offered a presentation on how we Orthodox Christian understand evangelism. He has asked our parish to come out for it and bring a friend or two.
