Junior Olympics Report Annual Meeting January 2006

By Chuck Bern

The annual Junior Olympics were held over Memorial Day weekend May 28,29. Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Palos Hills hosted the event. Fourteen Saint Lukian youth participated. Registration fee was $20 per student; therefore we paid $280 to enter our Olympians. The T-shirts were donated by a parishioner. All of our team was honored on Youth Sunday, June 5th. There was a special ceremony and each received a certificate. Medals were also awarded to the bronze, silver, and gold medalists.

Congratulations to our team: Joan Betsanes, Madeline Betsanes, Andriana Evangelopulos, Alexandra Evangelopoulos, Emma Hansen, Sarah Hansen, Alex Kincaid, Alex Lisowski, Nicholas Lisowski, Allison Murphy, Karen Seper, Andrew Seper (Bronze Medal Table Tennis-Gold & Silver in swimming), Alex Zacharias, John Zacharias, Michael Zimny (Gold Medal 10 K run.)
