Iconography Report Annual Meeting January 2005

Festal icons were featured from January through June. Some of them had been covered previously but they bore repeating. They were: Nativity of the Theotokos (Feast day 9/8);Transfiguration (Feast day 8/6);Theophany (Feast day 1/6);Elevation of the Holy Cross (Feast day 9/14).

Starting in the fall, focus was on Saints and will continue into 2005. Saints Paraskeva (Oct.) and Barbara (Nov.) were presented.

A file drawer of icons (many w/corresponding lesson information) has been set up in the church office. Teachers are welcome to use them as they wish as long as original remains in the folder. More lessons are being prepared for the icons as needed.
