Christmas Decoration Ministry

Director of Christmas Decoration Ministry, Sharon Mochel.

Name:Sharon Mochal
Job: Head of Christmas Decoration Ministry
Email: smochel@stlukeorthodox.com

Christmas means many things to many people. As Christians, Christmas is a time to stop, rethink, pray, and celebrate the birth of our Lord. During this celebration we decorate our church as we do for many celebrations, but this one is special. Hopefully the beautiful decorations can help remind us about the real meaning of Christmas and offer all of us peace and hope.

Job Description

The decorating committee extends an invitiation to anyone that would like to help decorate the church during the holiday season. We try to have decorations up by the first weekend in December and then take it down after January 6th.

The job includes, putting up the tree in the church, (and basement), then decorating it and other areas of our church as well as placing a large wreath by the choir loft. There is also a wreath placed outside. After January 6th, everything must then come down and be packed away until the following year. We welcome men, women, and children, that would like to join us at this joyous time of the year.
