Bulletin Board Ministry

Bulletin Board Coordinator, Tammy Tsiones. Name: Tammy Tsiones
Job: Bulletin Board Coordinator
Email: ttsiones@stlukeorthodox.com

I feel very blessed to have been chosen to take ownership of the church bulletin boards, as I know they are a very important display of our involvement and love for our church. The bulletin boards are one of the first things a visitor see's when entering our church, and it is also a visual way keep our congregation updated on our current calendar events.

My goal for the main bulletin board (upstairs) is to coordinate the decorations with the main themes of our church... major feast days, holidays, and the likes. These decorations are there to serve as a reminder of our current events and what's going on in our church. Although I attempt to update this board regularly... I do not have a set schedule of when changes are made. I strive to maintain a monthly or bi-monthly update - according to the church calendar - but it does sometimes stray more towards quarterly.

My goal for the secondary bulletin board (downstairs near stairwell) is more for current and community events. I have separate sections designated for health services, job opportunities, community events, thank you cards, and other interesting church-related areas.

The smallest bulletin board (near the kitchen) is reserved for YO use.

I would like to ask that our parishioners please do not place any items on the bulletin boards directly; but instead ask me or place the item needing posting in the Bulletin Board mailbox upstairs.

Thank you for this opportunity!

Job Description

Maintain the bulletin boards with information pertinent to the life of the parish including recent and forthcoming events, parish council minutes and reports, charities, correspondence and other areas that are important to our parishioners and visitors.
