Book Club Annual Report January 2014

SUBMITTED BY KAREN VERDERBER

The St. Luke Women's Book Club has just ended its 4th year with a great monthly turn out. Our average attendance is 8 to 12 ladies who meet at my home on the last Friday of the month to enjoy great food, fellowship and usually a lively book discussion. When Fr. Andrew's schedule permits, he joins us from time to time and always finds ways to enhance our discussions. We invite anyone to join us, even if you have not been able to get or read the selection because you will always leave with some newfound knowledge. Hopefully we will be able to have a dinner outing this year where we can discuss a book at a local restaurant and enjoy each other's company. The books we have read this year are: Elizabeth, Grand Duchess of Russia-The Sandcastle Girls-How to Walk a Puma-The Art of Racing in the Rain-Damascus Countdown-Proof of Heaven-One Thousand White Women-Borders of the Heart- Killing Jesus. We will be discussing this last selection on Fri. Jan. 10th 2014, weather permitting. Please join us for the Feb. book chat and remember, NO Reservations Needed!!
