Book Club Annual Report January 2012

SUBMITTED BY KAREN VERDERBER

• The book club ministry leader changed from Michaelyn Sloan to Karen Verderber.
• The Book Club has been meeting at my home on the last Friday of the month for the past 2 years. We have an average attendance of 6 to 9 ladies who enjoy great food, fun, fellowship and lively book discussions. When Fr. Andrew's schedule allows, he is known to join us from time to time and he enhances our discussion. I am hoping to add another leaf to my dining room table to allow for lots more book chatters. So please come join us (even if you haven't read the book!) This year we also got together for a movie viewing of one of this year's books called "The Help" and enjoyed a meal afterwards at a local restaurant. The books we have read this year are: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, Miles To Go, The Help, Heaven Is For Real, Unbroken, Pearl In The Sand, The Promise Of Hope, Golf's Sacred Journey, Our Thoughts Determine Our Lives, Redeeming Love, The Third Man Factor, Traveling With Pomegranates and Sensible Shoes. Our next chat will be Fri. Jan.27th at 6:30 when we will be discussing "Sensible Shoe". Hope to see you there.
