Blood Donation Report Annual Meeting 2008

For the past several years St. Luke has been a once-a-year blood-collection site for people who need blood transfusions. The 2007 St. Luke Blood Drive was held on Sunday, July 29th. Twenty-six pints of blood were collected, which exceeded the expectation of 24 pints. There were also six deferrals. A greater number of St. Luke parishioners participated in this event in 2007 than in previous years. Refreshments included juice, crackers, and cookies provided by Heartland Blood Center, sandwiches prepared and donated by Sharon, and other food and drinks. The next St. Luke Blood Drive will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2008.
