Adoption Ministry Annual Report January 2007

Prepared By Michaelyn Sloan

I received only one referral this past year - a Chicago couple who contacted Zoe for Life, the Orthodox Pro-Life group in Ohio. They referred the couple to Mary Lynn Pac-Urar, an Ohio attorney for the Hogar De Raphael Ayau O(orphanage) in Guatemala, who in turn referred them to me! Round about sort of way!Svetlana Lynch & Julia Wojcik volunteered as translators with the Bridge of Hope Program last summer, which brought 4 Russian, school-aged orphans to our area for a one month host program by area families. They will assist with this program again in July, 07 with our church hosting the info seminar and subsequent training workshop for families in February & March. Also, St. Luke parishioners donated monetary gifts & medical supplies the month of December 2006 for my January trip to Guatemala to visit the Orthodox orphanage.
