Deacon Danial Receives Orarion
Fr. Andrew presented Deacon Danial with a new Orarion as a gift for the many years of service at St. Luke.
Deacon Danial will be attending St. Tikhon's Seminary in South Canaan Pennsylvania for one year.
He will be studying pastoral care which will prepare him for future missionary work.
Pearl Receives Monastic Habit
Matushka Pearl Homiak, a long time member of St. Luke and founder of our PADS homeless ministry received the monastic habit as at St. Barbara's Monastery in Santa Paula California. May God grant Sister Pearl many years.
St. Lukes Hosts Annual Blood Drive
This Sunday St. Luke Parish in cooperation wiht Heartland Blood Centers held it's annual blood drive.

After giving blood, the donors receive a snack and a coupon for ice cream. Our thanks go out to Sharon, our Blood Drive Minister and all who participated in this worthy cause.
Children's Sermon For August
The sermon this month was about care for animals. Fr. Andrew explained the responsibly we have to care for God's creation.
This is a toy of noah's ark. He asked the children if they knew the story from the Bible. Several children were very familiar with the story and told how the dove brought back the olive branch.
This sermon was in connection with Archbishop Job's visit to the zoo. The list of animal bible questions use at the zoo was read by Fr. Andrew. He then gave the list to parents for use at home.
