As Many As Have Baptized Into Christ........

Young George is baptized into Christ

Today following Divine Liturgy, St. Luke Parish celebrated as young George was baptized and christmated. As Father Andrew explained last week today George was given the Holy Spirit. He called us all to be as god parents to George and help to nuture the seed of Christ that has been planted in him. "As many as have been baptized into Christ, have put on Christ!"

St. Luke Summer Lecture Series Begins

Our summer lecture series began with our guest speaker Robert Sullivan after Liturgy today. Mr Sullivan is the retired Chief of Police of the Lyons Police Department. He is currently assigned to the General Assignments Unit if the Cook County State's Attorney's Office. The topic was safety in the home and at St. Lukes. Additional lecture topics will follow.
